A very unique LGBTQ bar on the fringes of Montrose

Michael Gaitz founded Michael’s Outpost in 1989 and it continues to be run by his family today. It is now under the watch of his brother Charles and wife Denise and managed by his niece Tonya.

We are the only gay piano bar in the Houston area, offering different pianists 4 nights a week. Everything from show tunes to pop and some country. We also are proud to offer our Cabaret atmosphere as we present professional drag entertainers 4 nights a week. We also have karaoke once a week with great hosts and participants.

Our professional bartenders are fast, fun, courteous, attentive, and serve the best refreshing beverages and bar snacks in the area.

The crowd varies according to times and days of the week both in number and in ages. A nice relaxed happy hour spot and pumped up energy at night.
